"Converge" is full of chaotic movement. This is a large painting, 30 x 60 x 1.75" canvas on custom made stretcher frame. The color palette reminds me of a summer evening full of promise and warmth. There is a lot of detail and movement as the organic and geometric shapes intertwine. Acrylic, Hetty Estes, 2016

"The Golden Path" was a gift for my son Danny. His true love of space manifested itself into this painting of deep blues and golds with plenty of white and black of substance. The path is easy to follow, but where will it take you? metallic and acrylic paint 24x36x1.5" Hetty Estes 2017 (this painting has a new home)

"follow" 18 x 36" acrylic on canvas. Looking at the moving rolling colors on this painting keeps the viewer in constant motion. The push and pull is tremendous, while the neutral tones with metallic blends are very calming. Makes me think of a great roller coaster or a maze that begs to be entered.

"Upward" 16 x 20" acrylic on canvas has so many layers of paint that it becomes translucent. A stained glass window effect with geometric shapes that converge as the viewer is drawn into its depths, or technically drawn upwards toward the sky. This abstract anti-perspective could be from any major city. Standing on a corner looking up at those amazing skyscrapers. Hetty Estes 2016

"Through"16 x 20" acrylic on canvas. Abstract view through the window of a car perhaps. Driving on the interstate affords us a chance to see how others live. Is that a farm in the distance?
