My mother put knitting needles in my hands when I was about five years old. I love the tactile quality of fibers in my hands. I am interested in all materials that appeal to my senses. My early work had plenty of mistakes, oddly shaped stitches and was rarely functional. I enjoy working with many fibers, but alpaca tops the list followed closely by silk, bamboo and cashmere.

Recent work shows balanced fun & function, while color & texture dominate.
